Meet the Youth Volunteer Team
Sophie Liu (US)
I am a senior at Valor Christian High School. My interests include dance, painting, music, and design, all of which I do in my free time. I am a marketing lead in charge of ACUVA's webpage and YouTube channel administration, and my main task is to create digital flyers, posters and videos to promote ACUVA events and fundraising opportunities. This allows me to enhance my design and creativity skills and is an excellent way of spreading the news to help those in need. I love contributing to ACUVA and look forward to making even more efforts for this organization in the future.
Chelsea Chi (US)
I am a sophomore at The Madeira School and serve as ACUVA's social media lead, where I focus on raising awareness through our Facebook platform. I am passionate about connecting with others and using social media to amplify ACUVA’s mission. Outside of my role at ACUVA, I enjoy fencing, dancing, and socializing with others, all of which inspire my passion and commitment. Being part of ACUVA has led to incredible opportunities to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I am eager to continue my journey with this organization by building meaningful connections and contributing to future projects.
Tristan Shao (US)
I am a Senior at Bishop Mcguiness Catholic High School. I work as the Instagram Admin for ACUVA to inform people, create awareness about childhood cancer and improve rural education. Through doing this I hope I can not only help others, but improve myself as a leader. As of now, I enjoy swimming, piano, and hanging out with friends. During the summer I volunteered 60 hours for a lab at the OU medical school and helped research a cure for breast cancer paper that they might publish. This job is an honor to have a chance to meet new people through ACUVA and support my family and friends.
Max Chi (US)
I am an eighth grader at Lausanne Collegiate School. I work as a volunteer for ACUVA’s Alzheimer’s disease program. Currently, I thoroughly enjoy playing tennis, running, drawing, and playing video games. I am delighted to have a chance to meet new people through ACUVA and support my family and friends.
Angelia Long (US)
I am a Junior at Cherry Creek High School. In my free time, I love playing piano, drawing, and spending time with family and friends. I am a part of
ACUVA’s Alzheimer’s research team, which helps spread awareness about the disease, how to cope with it, and how to care for those diagnosed with it. This project is especially important to me because my family is currently experiencing the effects of taking care of someone with Alzheimer’s. By participating in ACUVA’s Alzheimer’s research team, I can become more educated and learn how to provide support for my family.
Renyu Liu (China)
I am an 11th-grade student from Qingdao No.58 High School, China. Here I volunteer as a translator to promote ACUVA among Chinese people, and by engaging in Alzheimer Disease Research Team. I hope I can translate the most recent articles of critical breakthrough of Alzheimer disease rehabilitation into Chinese language so as to render advices to most Chinese families in which such a disease is, unfortunately, prone to sicken the elderly. I also feel glad to work in collaboration with other youth volunteers endeavoring to march toward the common aim.
