His nickname is Xiaohu, or little tiger, he had been a healthy, smart, happy and cute boy. He loved learning English in Kindergarten, also showed interest in chess and soccer. His mom, a single parent who raised him by herself, sent him to a couple of clubs, preparing him for a bright future in elementary school. A dark shadow came that Xiaohu’s allergic rhinitis kicked in and the symptoms were worse than he had ever experienced before. He could not breathe well, was snoring at night and was not able to sleep sound. Without further delay, his mom took him to the ENT doctor on May 17th, 2017 who had treated him before. The doctor still confirmed the case as allergic rhinitis and prescribed nasal drops and other medications. It didn’t help. His mom decided to get a second opinion from another doctor. Surprisingly they found a tumor in Xiaohu’s throat when they checked him with a laryngoscopy and ordered a CT scan.   

On June 7th, 2017, the CT scan result came and the diagnose is sinus infection, possible NP, and adenoid hyperplasia, surgery recommended.
